ES-6600 SAS/SATA RAID mit RAID 6 on ASIC
In allen Anwendungsbereichen, in denen es gilt, maximale Kapazität zu günstigen Preisen direkt an ein oder zwei Server anzuschließen, sind SATA RAIDs mit SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) die optimale Lösung. Die bieten mehr Durchsatz als Systemem mit dem klassischen parallelen SCSI Bus und sind darüber hinaus weniger anfällig gegen Störsignale als Ultra 320 SCSI.
Wie alle ES-6600 Systeme unterstützen auch sie RAID 6, um mit doppelter Parity maximale Datensicherheit zu gewährleisten - mit der Investition von nur zwei Festplatten für die Parity pro RAID Set.
ES-6600 SATA RAIDs gibt es auch mit Fibre Channel Interface.
